Travel allowance records
- The business travel log export lists business trips with from/to, purpose, and km.
- Record opening and closing odometer for each reporting period before exporting.
- Layout follows common South African travel log worksheets — not endorsed by any tax authority.
- Verify the file with your accountant before any official use.
Business vs private km
- Business — travel for work (clients, sites, meetings). Not daily home ↔ usual workplace.
- Private — personal trips, including home to your usual workplace and back.
- Log each odometer reading as a stop — distance is calculated between stops.
- Record opening & closing odometer for each reporting period before exporting.
- On leave? Mark a leave period below — you don't need to log daily. Log private trips if you use the car, or confirm odometer when you're back at work.
Leave periods
Mark when you're away from work. No business logging is expected during leave. Private trips can still be logged from History or the dashboard.

One calendar month at a time. No year-end odometer check — hand these to payroll or finance each month.
Business travel exports list business trips only (from/to/purpose). Logbook includes all stops.
Full reporting period — for tax year-end
Mar–Feb (or calendar year). Opening and closing odometer use saved readings, or your first and last logged stops in the period. Mid-year starters: opening comes from your first trip — you can still export the full year.
